Natural pozzolana (pozzolanic ash), silica fume (from silicon smelting), fly ash, and rice husk ash are examples of pozzolans. Silica fume (microsilica) is an amorphous form of silicon dioxide (silica). It is in the form of spherical particles with an average particle diameter of 150 nm. It is a by-product of the silicon and ferrosilicon alloy production. The small particle size of silica fume
